N ew Bedford served as the port of call as SMFC set sail on a rollicking, musical adventure in its colorful tribute to the sea. Joined by 30-piece orchestra, the chorus presented a lively collection of time-honored classics and new sea-themed favorites at the New Bedford High School Auditorium. The event featured several memorable moments including the premiere of SMFC’s second commissioned work, a rousing medley of favorite sea shanties entitled Sea Fever, and a rockin’ presentation of Sit Down You’re Rockin’ the Boat, in which the chorus was joined by students from the New Bedford High School Show Choir.
