Spring 2012 Open Rehearsals
The Southeastern Massachusetts Festival Chorus (SMFC) will begin its 2012 Spring Season with Open Rehearsals on January 23 and 30. The 90-member SMFC is the largest auditioned chorus in the area and is seeking enthusiastic singers who are looking for a new forum in which to apply their abilities. SMFC’s Open Rehearsals are a great opportunity for new singers to meet the directors and other members of the group, learn more about SMFC membership and preview the group’s musical program. This season, the chorus will present its annual spring concert on May 19 and 20 at locations in Taunton and Bridgewater. Entitled “American Homecoming,” the concert will be a stirring tribute to those who have served in our armed forces, featuring familiar anthems and new selections, accompanied by live orchestra.

New members are invited to attend Open Rehearsals on Monday, January 23 and 30 at 7:00pm. A brief audition will take place at the end of each rehearsal. No preparation of music is required - audition selection will be drawn from rehearsal material. Open Rehearsals and all weekly rehearsals are held Mondays, 7:00 – 9:00pm, at the First Congregational (Stone) Church, 785 South Main Street, Raynham.
